FRAME-SIZER

By James Morikawa

A framesizer I built in 1999.  Worked quite well.   I got rid of it about 5 years ago due to dis-use, and lack of storage space.

It's June 2008.  I am presently building a improved model.  I will post a picture of it here on this page when it's done.

Partly on the subject of frame-sizing, I do have a favorite article on bicycle-fitting.

There's a framebuilder by the name of Peter White.  I read an article he wrote on the subject, "How to Fit A Bike" at his website, "www.peterwhitecycles.com".  I really liked it,  because I agree with many of his thoughts . . .  many are the same thoughts, and advices I would give.

I've completed my improved framesizer,   fitting cycle,  or whatever you wish to call it.

Works and adjusts wonderfully.  The only adjustment that can't be made easily and quickly is "Crank Q factor"  (the distance the left and right peddles are spaced apart).

A far better sizer than the one pictured above.
